• Did you know that Jim met his wife on a blind date? A mutual friend set the Passion star, and teacher Kerri Browitt, up on a blind date in 1993. They married less than 4 years later in 1997, and have been together ever since!

  • Did you know that Jim's new movie, Madison, isn't new at all? The film, based on the true story of a dying town and the man who brought life and pride back to it, was actually filmed in the summer of 1999! Release dates for the independant film have been jumping around for 4 years, before landing itself in the hands of MGM Studios, to be released in April 2005.

  • Did You Know: Jim Caviezel has been featured in 25 different films since the year 1990.

You won't find him in recent cuts of a few of them, but Jim has been an active participant in the Hollywood world long before his roll in The Passion of the Christ. He made his film debut at the age of 21 in an un-named film. He didn't become a recognizable name in Hollywood until 1998's The Thin Red Line, where he portrayed the spiritual Private Witt.

He became a household name in 2004, in Mel Gibson's controversial film, The Passion of the Christ (in the roll of Jesus), a film portraying the final hours of Jesus Christ's life.

  • Did You Know: To land his first movie roll, Jim Caviezel got the directors to believe he was a recent Italian immigrant. He did such a good job at his immitation, that when the director called him to inform him that he won the roll, they thought they had the wrong number!

  • Jim was diagnosed with AADHD (Adult Attention Deficit & Hyperactivity Disorder) in 1994. He also has Dyslexia.

Back in high school, he would occasionally have outbursts of temper and get into fights caused by his frustration about his dyslexia. According to friends (and former class mates), he also had a sharp tongue.
